Default Having a kid is expensive!

The amount of medical bills we have as a result of a kid being born is ridiculous! I actually have decent insurance too! We owe the hospital $600, the OB $600, another $162 for anesthesia, and then $250 for Brady!

We are doing pretty well with keeping our spending down while Mike's off and I'm getting paid pennies, but this is not helping!

I can't imagine if we had bad insurance or none at all.

I totally agree. We have very good insurance, but you add up all the co-pays and prescriptions, etc...and it really adds up.

I can't even imagine without insurance. Yikes!!

I have excellent insurance. But I was just thinking about this yesterday, with 3 kids how much we put out in dr visits, prescriptions, deductibles, OTC meds, and bandaids, it is a huge chunk of change.
I can't imagine trying to pay all of that with crappy insurance.

We have insurance through the small company DH works for with serious deductibles for both me and the baby. What I'd do to have your "small" bill! Everett's birth was in the $3,500 range and we're doing it again! Just got him paid off

Nothing is cheap! I feel your pain. I have had a ton of unexpected expenses from having post partum hypertension. Between dr visits, hospital stay, labs and rx fees- having high bp cost me at least $600!
