DH and I both have 401(k)s, and we contribute the maximum tax-free each month. We each also have some Roth IRAs, and I have a company-funded pension. There's also a big chunk of money in three mutual funds, which we plan to transfer ($20,000 a year to take advantage of the maximum federal tax deduction) into a 529 plan for our new baby's college.

I had a mutual fund that my mom started for me when I was a kid. I used it to buy a car, put myself through college, and pay a down payment on my house. I had to cash the last of it in on my divorce, but I am hoping DH and I can start a new one sometime in teh next year.

We have investments in stock and I'm not sure what it equals to right now. We have a few different CD's right now that we roll over or move to a different bank if we can get a better rate when they come due(we just did that last week) . We have IRA's and an account for our DD.

My husband likes to play with the stock market so after we got married we set aside some money for him to invest with. He has used that money really wisely and has made us a good chunck of change off of it. I used to worry about it, but I don't even think of it anymore because he seems to be doing well and he doesn't do anything too risky with it.

Hey Ann Marie.. can I send him some money to invest ??

We both have IRA's, life insurance (2 policies on DH) a few bonds and money market.

The kids each have their own account and a couple thousand in bonds alone.

The only investment I currently have is my life insurance. Now that I have my head above water I'm planning on starting a few for me and the kids.
