I had Sarah in a faith-based school (that was prek thru 5th etc) and I decided NOT to keep her in that for kindergarten. I thought it would be great to have her in a religious setting, but it just wasn't the case. I found myself having to UN-teach many of the religious aspects that they were teaching her and I just didn't want to do that all the time. I also found that some of the teachers were actually 'too nice'. If you can believ that. I guess there really is a different sort of teacher for a different sort of child.

Our public schools have top scores. Excellent parent participation etc... (And it's a block away.) So we're doing public Kindergarten for Sarah this year and I couldn't be more pleased. Her Kindergarten teacher is just great for Sarah. I have met the principal (many times) and he is a very attentive and caring guy. There are a ton of 'special help' opportunity/teachers and Sarah has already been identified and has entered the program for that.
(we're hoping with her new medication, that she'll be out of the 'special' program soon, though)
