  • Well, on the small scale...I'd go buy the entire set of new dishes I want instead of just buying pieces as we can afford them.
But on grander scale, I really want a new car. And Dh is all about getting a boat.

  • Jeanne, have you thought about switching to Verizon? The reason I ask is I have found that their phones are much cheaper than anywhere else. Im with At&t in a contract, but once it is up, I will go there. DH has an iphone and I have a centro, but there are even "cooler" phones available through verizon that are really affordable and seem like awesome phones!

we need a new t.v for the kids' playroom. It is a room that we don't use often, but the kids play in there and watch tv or play the wii, etc. So, im thinking of taking the tv we use in the family room (50inch) and putting it in the kids room and then buying a new plasma (biggest we can get) with surround sound, etc for the family room. Normally we would just go right out and buy it, but now that I have been watching our spending, I am going to sock away $ from each paycheck until we have what we need and pay in cash.

  • Dang Holly that is exactly what we're doing.
We are moving our big nice Tv from the living room to the playroom, moving that Tv upstairs to the playroom/ bonus room and tossing the crap in there. But this also involves moving 2 entertainment centers (from Living room to playroom, playroom to bonus room and tossing one cheap one) and buying one of those big nice TV consoles for the plasma. We're looking at the 60 inch or more.

  • We actually are thinking of verizon or revol. We are also with at&t and they are HORRIBLE. When you go in there, it doesn't matter if there are 2 or 20 ppl waiting to be helped, you still wait 1/2 hour to get help, which is mediocre at best. Our bill is out of control, and I don't even have a data package or nationwide long distance or anything like that, just regular service.

Yeah- I was thinking "splurge" as in something for yourself that you don't really "need" but want. Eventually we are going to build a master suite over the garage, but that's 5 years down the road at least.

  • Susan- Great minds think alike

We are also having to move 1 enertainment console and tossing out the cheapy one that the kids' tv is one currently. I want to get the biggest tv possible and not have to worry about upgrading or any of that crap for years down the road. We do alot of movie nights with friends, etc, so the tv is used often in our home.

Jeanne-you are totally right about the customer service at at&t.
it's ridiculous! I have never heard of revol
