  • Since we turned off DH's 401(k) contributions while we're getting out of debt, we thought we'd break about even on our taxes this year since we didn't have that deduction. We did our taxes last night and it turns out that we're STILL getting almost $2,000 back from the feds!

This is in addition to the nearly $500 we're getting back from the state!

So we're putting that $2300 directly toward our debt--and coupled with our big payment this month, we'll be down to only $11,000 left!!

Remember, we started with $32,000 this time last year!!

So it looks like we'll be out of debt by Halloween instead of Christmas!!!

The Total Money Makeover TOTALLY works!!!

We're living, breathing proof of that!
