 Day 15 in Lilly's Life

Lilly has made really good progress the last 24 hours. She's had a bit fewer events the last 24 hours, 8 in the last 24 hours. Her billirubin level has gone down without the lights, so her liver is working good and her digestive system is working good. She has reached 2/3 of her feeds and is scheduled to be increased to 3/4 feeds at noon today. She will likely be at 100% of her feeds by Sunday assuming she continues to do well. We are on the 3rd day of negative infection growth on her blood culture from the 21st. Lilly gets a lab holiday tomorrow, yee-haw no more needle pokes tomorrow as long as the IV holds up. Also since she is 15 days old now she doesn't need to be in humidity. They will continue to rub her down with aquafor lotion as needed to help keep her skin hydrated though. This means that we no longer have to wear gloves when we reach into her bed and give her cares.
We've had several requests for her measurements so I asked the nurse last night to take some measurements for us. Since she is a micropreemie clothes are hard to find and rather expensive when we do find them. Any of you who are interested in making her clothes please just keep in mind that the nurses need to be able to get the clothes off of her very quickly in an emergency situation so they would need small velcro fasteners rather than snaps or buttons.

Chest 8.5"
Neck to Cuff 5 1/8"
Chin to Toe 11"
Lilly will probably get to do some more Kangaroo Care with mommy this afternoon. She really looks good today, she's got great color her face and lips are looking a bit fuller.
