20 Days Old - Lilly gets an Eviction Notice By Levi Lynn

Lilly is very close now to another milestone today, 1000 grams is the next milestone were looking forward to. She weighs in at 950 grams today, up 60 grams from yesterday.

Since Lilly isn't one of the sickest babies here at the NICU she's been evicted from her Giraffe Isolette and moved into a normal Isolette. The new Isolette doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the Giraffe had. We are happy about the move since the Giraffe is now available for a set of 27 week twins that were born on Monday down a few rooms from Lilly.

Lilly really is doing great though, her feeds continue to get calorie increases every day and she has had 2 days in a row of weight gain. Also yesterday she only had 3 respiratory events, down from 7 yesterday. We are really happy about Lilly's progress.

The Dr. has ordered another cranial Ultrasound for today to check her brain again for abnormalities. Her head measurement came back 2 cm larger yesterday from the previous measurement taken a week ago. Her head is expected to grow of course but they are a bit surprised by the amount of growth over the past week. They just want to make sure that the difference in measurement isn't due to anything abnormal inside her head.
