skyqueen, you aren't cheap...you just do it all yourself. The reason I spend a lot is because I'm paying people to do it all for me

I just spent about $300 on Hannah's birthday party. We did it all at her daycare but the gifts she got cost a bit this year. And her theme decorations cost a bit too.

Altogether about $250.00. WE had her birthday at a restaurant and it was well worth it. No mess at my house (like for her first birthday) and it accommodated everyone just fine. We kept the menu simple and the food was great! I probably spent a little more 'cause I bought her clothes that weren't part of her birthday present---but those she needed.

Just wanted to add on my part...I'm sure that will change (above) seeing as another one is on the way.

Food- $75 for a summer party, less for the winter one. For the summer parties we do hamburgers and hot dogs, potato salad, pasta salad, garden salad and corn on the cob. Plus there is a veggie platter, chips and dip, cheese and crackers for appetizers.
For the winter party it's usually spagetti and meatballs or lasagna with garden salad and garlic bread, plus the same appetizers.
I make a the cake myself.
Presents- $50-$75 depending on what they have asked for. Plus we have a large party so the kids end up with way more than they really need so we don't feel the need to go all out.
