Okay, you are going to flip at how much I spend.
This year for Brady's 3rd b-day
party at My Gym: $250
cake: $55 (probably fire truck from our regular cake girl)
other food and favors: under $50
invites: $40 (printed at store)
the party is his gift from us
so that's about $400...sounds crazy huh!!!
In the past we've had it at our house but we fed about 50 burgers, chips, cake, and had a bounce house. That was about $300-$400 too.
I don't buy a lot of gifts for my kids for b-day or christmas, that's what their grandparents are for!

See I don't think its a lot but my hubby thinks its ridiculous. Her party is at Chuck E Cheese so its $10 a child (not bad at all). I ordered her invitations and favors from Birthday express and I will get her cake from Wal Mart. (love there cakes)

I feel like I didn't get her enough and hubby is flipping out saying shes getting too much

we do family parties at home.
We buy one 'big' gift which is usually around $35-50 and then a couple small things like clothes or another companion gift. So well under $100 for the gifts.
Then we make the cake (almost always) so that is about $10- total (I buy fun decorations for the top).
And the other decorations and matching plates etc and stuff like balloons and banners is never more than $20 in total.

We're cheap.

So, grand total is $100-130 usually.
