Lilly is doing quite well today. Her blood culture was negative, Complete Blood Count (CBC) was normal, her tummy isn't loopy anymore and she appears to have good energy. Since she's empty and since this is the 4th time she's had to stop her feeds the Dr. has decided to go ahead with a contrast aenema today. This will give him a great deal of info that he's not able to get with normal x-rays.
After the x-rays today if all is well she'll be started back on feeds. Maybe she'll do better for longer this time. It's sure nice to see Lilly strong and with energy again, last night Tiphanie said that she cried real loud when she was getting weighed and measured.
Her condition can change so quickly from great, to bad, to great again. Tiphanie and I are trying to keep up but we find ourselves on the emotional roller coaster.
Tiphanie is looking forward to holding Lilly tonight. This will be the first skin to skin for the 2 of them since last Thursday. Tiphanie is anxious to hold her little girl.
