This year put a little Patriotic meaning in the traditional Trick or Treat.
Oklahoma Chapter 1 of Blue Start Mothers of America, Inc is needing help with donations for the Holiday Freedom Boxes that will be sent to our troops in Iraq & Afghanistan. Our goal this year is to send at leat 1,500 boxes.
There are 3 ways YOU can HELP! - When you go door to door "Trick or Treating" - patriotically (red, white, and blue) decorate an extra bag and ask for a donation for the troops of either candy or one of the items listed on this flyer (these are items most people can simply go to their bathroom or kitchens and get).
- When you go to the store to get Trick or Treat candy for the goblins that will be coming to your door, pick up an extra bag of candy or snack item for the troops. (or one of two of the items listed on this flyer). Bring them to the Oklahoma Chapter 1 of Blue Star Mothers - 2198-A S. Sheridan (south end of Alameda Shopping Center) between EX Pawn & Jackson Hewitt Tax Service on Saturdays 9am until 1pm.
- Bring any leftover Trick or Treat goodies you have or any needed items listed on this flyer- and donate them.
NOTE: We also accept cash donations- bring donation to the building or mail to address below or you can now donate via PayPal on our website.

I received this flyer yesterday when I took my girls out trick or treating at BooHaHa (a local Halloween TOT and parade event).
If you are in the local area I think this would be a great opportunity for you (all of
us) to do something good with some of that extra candy you'll (we'll) undoubtedly end up with.
If you don't have some candy, maybe you can find some of the other mentioned items to donate. And, hey,
if you'
re not local to my area, check online to see
if you have a local Blue Star Mothers group nearby. This is a great opportunity to help out our soldiers and teach our little ones about giving.
