  • We invite you to participate in The Stony Brook Father Study, a research project for men whose wife or partner is pregnant. Men’s experiences during a partner’s pregnancy have rarely been studied. Participating in this study will help scientists understand men's thoughts and feelings when they are expecting a child.

If you agree to participate, you would be interviewed by telephone by a trained research assistant for 10 to 20 minutes at a convenient time that you choose. The results of the study will never be reported with your name. If you agree to participate in the study, the interviewer will ask to record your responses using a digital recorder. You can decline to be recorded if you prefer. You can also decline to answer any question you prefer not to answer, and you can stop participating in the research at any time.

*As a thank you for your participation, you will be entered into a raffle for a $100 gift card, 1 winner will be selected from each 50 participants. The winners will be notified by phone and/or email.
