Default Baby Bump

I have a query, for which i am not getting an answer....i am 40 day pregnant...my tummy is already bulging out coz of me being overweight. I wish to know if my baby bump will be extra to this bulge resulting in too much bulging of tummy or it will first use this bulge??!!

With my first pregnancy, I didn't start to "show" until I was about 5 MONTHS pregnant. So 40 days seems way too early. Being overweight typically lessens the appearance of the "baby bump". How have your eating habits been since finding out you were pregnant? If you start out pregnancy overweight, you should shoot to gain only about 15 pounds for the whole pregnancy.

Have you seen a doctor/midwife yet? I would consult with him/her for personalized advice.

No reason to be showing at 40 days. i totally agree with Dopey. Make sure to consult your dr with this. I didn't show till around 5 months as well.
Good luck with your pregnancy and congrats! Best of wishes

Thanks for your replies. I am glad to see the response the same day. I know in general, bump does not generally appear before 3-4 months' completion. But i am still not sure for one thing....being overweight will my baby bump be extra large??
