Default Cryogenic Lab

Hi everyone,

I used to come here a few years ago while I was TTC with donor sperm. That never happened but I did end up in a relationship and did IVF and as a result have an absolutely perfect little boy who is almost 1 year old. Unfortunately the man turned out to be a complete loser but I did get a beautiful son so I can't complain. Anyway, I am 40 years old and would love to have # 2. I am back to donor sperm and since I am in NY I am somewhat limited with what banks I can use and then since I want to try at home (one shot before going back to IVF) I am even more limited. I found a donor I like at Cryogenic Lab but I haven't found anyone who has used them. He really sounds perfect for me but I really don't want to take a chance with quality or anything like that. Anyway I was wondering if anyone here has used that bank. If not I will probably go with Midwest even though I haven't found any donors that excite me as much as this guy does. TIA

If your talking about Cryogenic Laboratories, we used them. Two times, same donor. The only real problem we had was unpredictable counts (the lowest around 4 million some as good as 20 million). Hoiwever, in all fairness they let us know up front before purchasing that the donor we chose was "older stock" and that the numbers were not going to be as good as other donors. I think for that particular donor they only guaranteen 5 million. Lucky for them I got pg on the cycle with 4. Go figure.

Good Luck to you.

Where in NY are you located?

Fairfax Cryobank is licensed in NY but I don't know if they ship to your home. I believe there are a couple of sperm banks in Manhattan.

We used Cryogenic Laboratories in MN because our first RE preferred them as a partner bank. Our DD was born on the 2nd month of trying.

Our son had a donor from Internationl Cryogenics in MI also because the RE (2nd one because we moved) preferred them.

Our DD's donor didn't have any more vials so we were moved on. Our DS donor is on limited availability for subsequent pgs -- we are very pleased with them.

But they may only work with Dr offices - so limited for home use.

good luck!!
