Question Ami - tell us what kind of books you like

Just curious. I know GWTW is one of your faves. Give us a couple more examples or a genre (or two).

I think my top 3 favorites are GWTW, The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck and Roots by Alex Haley. I love love love those 3! The Grapes of Wrath because of how much it really relates to today!
I like historical books, not necessarily true stories but set in the "old days", especially southern hardship types. Oh, and I gotta admit I am a huge fan of Danielle Steele LOL!!!!! Up until about 3 or 4 years ago I had read almost everything she wrote. I used to love Dean Koontz, but I've become a big scaredy cat in my old age and his stuff freaks me out! And I've picked up just old cheesy harlequins too. So it just varies. I'm not much into govt cover-up types of books or stuff like that, but I did read the Generals Daughter and loved it!
I guess that covers it.

I like a lot of what you like (though I'll pass on Steele and the Harleqins ). Koontz's Odd Thomas series was good and not too freaky. If you like historical fiction, Ragtime is awesome (though it's yankee historical).

That's ok, I've got people that came from Buffalo and I eat sugar on my grits, strictly against southern policy, LOL!!!! So I've got some yankee blood in me!

If you like historical fiction, you might look into something by James Michener. Be prepared to go way back in time -- like, the earth is still cooling, back.

I'm trying to think of other historical fiction that I've really liked. I'll have to get back to you.
