Luckily my 6 year old doesn't get any of that. He just enjoyed seeing talking race cars driving fast and blowing things up!

Honestly I think most "political" messages in kids movies are pretty obscure. And if they do make a kid(or his parents) think a little harder about buying something or using an alternative transportation isn't that kind of a good thing?

We did take Joseph and he did pretty well. He really liked the fast pace and while some of the jokes were above his level he loved seeing Lighting and Mater. Plus the so-called violence that had me concerned was moslty just big bombs that you'd see in almost any action cartoon these days.

I really didn't like the movie, and really really didn't like the violence. The g-rating I'm guessing was because the cars were cars, but to my kids, they're like people.
I didn't "get" any political agenda in it at all, and I certainly did in Wall-e. It just came off as a "whodunit" type thing to me. With that said, I missed a bunch of the movie because Brady was particularly cheeky and couldn't sit through it. He usually does pretty well for movies.
I'm disappointed. However, of course, the kids loved it. This was especially true for Josh, because he knows I do not approve of violence, guns, bombs, etc, and this movie was full of them.
