Looking at it though, I think it is entirely doable. But I think maybe a different list for each month. I Googled and found that B&N has a great list for Children/YA in September. UC Berkley's 2010 list has a boatload of Autobiographies and Memoirs. One of Oprah's (don't shoot me on that) has lots of Literary Fiction(both modern and classic). I saw Leaves of Grass and the Bell Jar on Harvard's list as well as Paradise Lost. For Chick Lit we could do Ny times or some such newspaper/magazine's Beach Reads which are usually chock full of easy, light, girly reads.
Also I think some of our genres naturally overlap. Look at January. It was a Classic but would have gone under Memoir too. Wouldn't you say the same thing about True Grit? I mean both a historical and a classic. This month's is totally a romance but chick lit too.

I agree. Why don't you list some possibilities for each genre from the lists you found, and maybe we can just agree to do one of those from each if everyone is game.
