Default SPOILER...Harry Potter...SPOILER

I figured as we all start finishing the book, we should have a thread to discuss it. Do not read this thread unless you've finished the book. I would hate for the story to be spoiled for anyone.

This is your last chance to turn back. Do not read any further if you have not finished the entire book.

I can't believe the series is over. I have to say though that book 7 is tied with book 4 for my favorite book. I wasn't too fond of 6 (and 5 isn't that high on my list either), so I was very afraid that I wouldn't like book 7 very much. I was wrong. I loved it.

Fred. I knew one of the Weasleys was going to have to die, but why Fred? He and George are some of my favorite characters from the book.

And Lupin? Another one of my favorite characters.

But, wow. A great book in my opinion. I just couldn't put it down.

I totally agree, I didn't want to put it down either...I felt like I was neglecting Benjamin by reading, good thing it was the weekend and dad was home to play..now its his turn to read it...

I am very sad about Fred and Lupin... and the one I most sad about is Dobby... that part made me all emotional...he was so sweet to Harry...always trying to help him out, even if it wasn't always the nicest way about it, but you know what I mean...

I am very sad the series is over, but I have to wonder if there is going to be a new series with the new generation...?

And wow, did the whole Dumbledore/Snape thing shock me...I was thinking Snape was such a low creepy mean person after book 6, now I think he was just misunderstood, it amazed me how much he cared for Lily... I am happy with how the book ended...

We had to know that Hermoirnie and Ron were going to get married and Harry and Ginny...ahh, so sweet... anyway, loved the book, can't wait for more to finish it and discuss it!

Wait----- I missed something in my race to read ---
How did Neville Longbottom get back the sword of Gryffindor?

I loved it all, but was surprised at how causual some of the deaths were. I guess Harry had no time for sentimentality, so we were on to the next thing... but....
