Question Advice needed Re: Trigger

Hi guys,

Well b/w and u/s went very well again today got 1 perfect 18mm follie on my left ovary. B/W shows not surging myself yet and E2 could go higher so clinics plan is....

Have my Gonal F 75 iui today (Wed CD13) as usual
Tomorrow (Thur CD14) at 9pm have ovradell trigger shot,
Saturaday (CD16) 12pm have DIUI

Amazing how even on injectables my body knows what to do I always opk surge CD15 and ovulate CD16!! I believe my opk surge would be Friday and DIUI Saturday if this was a natural cycle.

SOOOOOO getting to the point my clinic proposes my trigger 39 hours before my DIUI. Their protocol is if your surging on your own which Im not yet then trigger is 24 hours before DIUI but if your not surging yet (I wont surge till Friday) but follie looks good to go then trigger and DIUI 36-40 hours later.

I feel that perhaps 39 hours is a bit to long and I should leave my trigger till about midnight making DIUI 36 hours post trigger.

What do you experts think??

It is probably okay to wait an extra few hours to trigger if it makes you more comfortable. I think the 36 hour mark is more standard than 40.

Good luck!

I would shorten the time between trigger and IUI. I think 39 hours is a bit on the late side. It is better to have the sperm waiting for the egg. Since your sperm counts are lower than ours, I would definitely want the sperm waiting and not having to play catch up with finding the released egg.

Good Luck!

We got pg chen we triggered and did an IUI 36 hours later. I think that is more standard here than 40 hours for single ones. Good luck!

I would definitely trigger earlier...we did 24 hours before IUI always...36 seems standard in US...
