Question Anyone using fresh sperm donor??

Hello

I was wondering if any of the ladies on here are using fresh sperm for insemination? I originally was going to go thru NWCryo for my donor but a long lost friend happened to come into my life again and I am going to attempt, for the first time, using fresh sperm starting in December. 3 more weeks!! woohoooo!
Anyone else?? From what I have read on here it seems that everyone is either doing doctor assisted IUI or ICI with frozen sperm.

I am so nervous, anxious, excited...geesshhh I have been charting for the past couple months and the first 4 months I had perfect ovulating cycles - last month and this month my temps have been all over the place and its been hard to detect ovulation. I suppose the stress of it all is getting the best of me huh??

Would love to hear of anyone else using fresh swimmers too!

How lucky for you! Fresh swimmers are a fantastic option, as they stay alive much longer than frozen. Good luck!

Long lost friend.....hmmm.....are you talking sex or are you talking insemination?

Regardless, I don't mean to put a damper on your plans but has your friend been recently tested for infectious diseases? When you use frozen sperm, it has been in quarantine for 6 months before it is released. The donor is tested when he donates and then again before the bank releases the sperm.

Warning PG mentioned:
I used fresh that was shipped to me by my donor using a buffer. We did unmedicated unmonitored home inseminations from January until May. I then saw a fertility doctor and found out I wasn't ovulating so I was put on Clomid and started going for ultrasounds to check the follies. We did a couple more home insems using our donor but since I still wasn't getting pregnant and the clomid dried up my cm we decided to move onto IUI's. My doctors office was able to wash my donors sample and we used that for our IUI's. We did one in early September and one the beginning of October and that's the one that worked. I'm almost 9 weeks and I go for my first prenatal today. My IUI was done 36 hours after my trigger shot.
If your going to be doing home inseminations just make sure you don't insert the swimmers into your cervix, just put them around the outside.
