Default bedrest after transfer?

My SIL had a transfer yesterday. Her doc said she could resume normal activity today. I guess I'm just nervous for her...does that seem the norm?

Most places I've heard of in the US require some bed rest, I think a minimum of 48 hours, but JB in Aussie-land said her clinic does not require it at all.

Good luck to your SIL

. I'd take it easy if I were her!

I had my transfer on the 12th of Sept, and my Dr. told me to "resume normal activities" Bed rest was not necessary, and the only reason the Dr. agreed with my decision to take the week off from work was to lower the stress level.

I usually do 3 days of bedrest. It's not required by my RE, but it makes me feel like I'm doing all I can to help.
