Cool Clomid here I come....

.....talked to my doctor about Oing on the weekend and how inconvenient that was when you're doing IUIs. So he going to replace my serephene with Clomid and I'm suppose to take it days 5-9 next cycle to try and get O during the week. Not sure if I should go ahead and try this next cycle or not. DH says "what the hell, let's try anyway!"

Any advice or warnings from the Clomid-users. Should I have DH get a shield?

The only side effect I had from Clomid was very bad hot flashes and massive headaches. I'm a bit confused though as serophene is just the generic name for clomid. I don't believe there's a difference, but I could be wrong.

I understand it's the same drug, just different dosage, types (pill, injections, etc). I thought Clomid is an injectiable and Serephene a oral pill..

Still researching.

I know I usually took the serephene on days 3-7.

OK, so they're the same drug. Sounds like he's just changing my days. That's what I get for taking a phone call just as i'm leaving work.

Do you have trouble O'ing on your own? I am SO not a fan of clomid especially since it can thin your lining. Are you being monitored to make sure your lining is at least an 8+?? I would skip clomid and move to low dose injectibles 75 or 150 IU's. Hopefully this will work, but after 1 cycle on clomid I'd move on.
