Your follies are off to a very good start. You already have more than I had at retrieval

It was probably a good thing you said no to entertaining on saturday night...I know I didn't feel that great for the rest of the day. Mostly sluggish and tired, but a little crampy too. Guys definately don't get it! Hang in there...we are here for you

Good luck in the a.m.

Diane, Hang in there-the men usually don't get it completely. He may feel differently after you come out of the retrieval and he physically sees that you had to a) produce all those eggs, and the b) be put under to get them. I had to do a little bio lesson with my DH. "I normally only make one of these a month- this month I am making 13X that!" You were smart to set a good limit with him. It isn't likely you're going to want anyone around that night...I slept almost the entire day...afterall, it is a surgical proceedure you are having.

I thought the transfer was going to be the "big" one, turned out that was a piece of cake and the retrieval was more intense. I was glad I was drugged up and was crampy and didn't want to do anything afterwards either. You'll be happy you said no saturday night when you're all cozy in your "comfy clothes" (as we call them here! lol) and don't have to wait on or clean up after anyone.

they get lots and lots of eggies!!

You need to relax Sat. night. My dh wanted me to toughen up too and be a bad ass pg Alaskan chick. Just now that I'm starting to show is he being nice. Really nice. He even bought groceries, washed the dog and said I was sexy. This is not typical. It's a huge disappointment because we expect everyone to treat us like the fragile little goddess princesses we are then the dh's don't act any different and it SUCKS! Stupid men. Women are so much better at this stuff. That's why we come here. They just don't get it and are probably scared their "rocks" aren't going to be there for them for awhile. Tell him to read the books (that scared dh into doing whatever I said!) that will get him. OH!! And tell the nurses at your clinic on him. That totally worked when dh called me a fatt butt! They kicked his fat butt!! It was pretty funny. Good luck and relax you're doing GREAT!!! This is HUGE! So tell dh to BACK OFF or we'll get 'em!! Leslie PS You can remind him of the costs too, that always was a good one for me. AND the importance of being stress free!

thanks everyone, i knew i was right about the whole saturday noght thing, but to get a male to see it is a completely different story. Leslie..thank god in massachusetts our insurance covers IVF, so money with us is not stressful. I honestly think getting the puupy, even though i already love her, at this time, was way too much. I work days and he works nights, which normally calls for a great ,marriage, but now we are cranky due to lack of sleep. I am defimitely going to tell the nurses on him. I need him to see its not me being a wimp. I will admit at the beginniing with the migraines and stuff i was a complete @##%%. but i have been really good lately, no complaining, moods or anything. Whatever, i have more things to worry about, like these follies growing right? thanks all again for making me feel better like you always do
