Moy, I thought it seemed early too, but my ovary started aching on day 11, so it seemed like it was ready to me. There was only 1 egg in there, so it's not like it was swollen with multiple eggs. Will the hcg shot always pop the egg out of the follicle no matter what size it is??

Yep - the HCG trigger will definitely pop the follicle. Egg (follicular growth) always accelerates after the trigger too. You can have a 17mm or 18mm follie and within 24 hours that thing might be 20mm+. Trust your doc. This will turn out fine.
