Default Doctor update...and BABY ASPIRIN???

Hi!
I just posted a long post and it disappeared. I hate when that happens. Anyway the long and long of it was that my month break is going well!!! I am not antsy at all and am really enjoying a break from the ttc rollercoaster. Since my HSG was clear and I had 4 clomid cycles already I had a call w/ my doctor for cycle review.

She said that I shouldn't be worried that I'm not pg yet. She said that if I am not pg after 2 more cycles that I'll need to consider IVF again. So I can't even think of that. Speaking of which she said that if I did IVF again that I should do a combo of DH and donor. Can you imagine if I had twins w/ one of each? Too freaky to imagine. Anyway I am not sure I could go through IVF again so I am just praying that I get pg next month.

I am going to continue w/ 100mg of Clomid 5-9 w/ hCG trigger. She said that I could start baby aspirin on cd1. Experts...remind me again why I would take baby aspirin? Do you? Have you? Let me know your input please!!

On an o/t...I'm o'ing tomorrow probably. Feeling crampy and just looked at the calendar and there it is...right on schedule. Anyway Dh and I have been having a lot of fun...and it's just sooooo sad that it just doesn't work that way for us. But no pity party...onward. I have 2 more weeks of no ttc stress and hope to maintain that.

Boy we could use some good happy news on this board!!! It's been a rough go for a lot of us!

Sorry for the long vent...I really just wanted to know about baby aspirin. hee hee

Baby aspirin helps thicken your lining. In addition, it helps prevent m/c. The aspirin thins your blood so beware if you have your blood taken on a regular basis while cycling. You may just bleed a little longer than usual. The thinning of the blood helps prevent blood clots.

You sound very relaxed. I'm glad you're enjoying your break.

The 2 weeks will fly by and you'll be back in action in no time.

We were instructed by our RE to take it from cd1 only until IUI but in US they seem to continue it after the IUI as well...

I have to take it for my folic acid issue. I know that it does thicken your lining. But just so you wont be shocked like I was it made my AF real clotty the first couple of months.

I have never had a lining issue, but I have noticed that when I take baby aspirin my lining is usually at 11cm+. Then again, I have only taken baby aspirin while doing IVF and I have also been doing acupuncture, so it could be from that or a combo of both.

Glad you are relaxed and looking forward to your next cycle!!!
