Default DP and I are so excited!!!!

So, my transfer went VERY well today. We put back 2 beautiful, perfect blasts (again!). This one has to be the one! I am just so scared, but trying to stay optimistic about it. I am in shock because as of day 3 we had 10 embies between 6 and 9 cells (which is where they should be). We figured we'd get at least 2 to put back and maybe a couple/few to freeze. Are you guys ready for this??? They put back the 2 today and froze...........EIGHT more blasts!! I think that is some sort of new record at my clinic because my RE was just astonished and kept saying "this is beautiful Maddy! BEAUTIFUL!" Well, they are freezing 2 full expanded blasts today and then probably the other 6 tomorrow when they expand fully. Every single embie on day 3 in the 6 to 9 cell range made it - all 10 of them!! My RE told me I have the embies of a 27 year old.

We now have 15 frozen embies to work with for future cycles (I'm praying for siblings!).

My RE told us a little story today about another patient. She did her first IVF and put back 2 blasts - BFN. 2nd IVF put back 2 more blasts - BFN. 3rd IVF put back ANOTHER 2 blasts - BFN. On her 4th IVF cycle she convinced the clinic to put back 3 blasts - TRIPLETS!!! So, my RE really had a point about only putting back 2 blasts. I think it was the right decision and probably what we will continue to do on every cycle. I am just thrilled that we got an extra 8 out of this cycle. I just feel like it's really, really great insurance. I guess that is what I have to be thankful for this holiday season, but I sure am hoping for a nice strong beta on the 9th.

Doing IUI's and IVF has been a long road, but I am just so glad we chose this path. Knowing that we have a guaranteed 15 embryo's to work with really gives me hope. DP keeps saying we won't need them for a couple years. She's such an little optimist!!!!

Please

for me, k?

Congrats Maddy, I've never heard of anyone having that many blasts. Good work!!

I love the triplet story, I can just hear my doc saying to me before transfer "are you sure you don't want to put only 2 back, they're really nice embryos"...........oh I find out today LOL.

Hope your 2ww flies!!
