Question Dye Test?

Good Morning!
My husband and I are just beginning this grand adventure of IVF. I was told to come in for a "dye test" (possibly some sort of x-ray) next Thursday, which is in this 5-12 day period after my natural cycle has begun. I was told by my doctor that this would be painful, but this is all he told me. Does anyone have any more info on this??? Thanks

They shoot dye into your fallopian tubes to see if they're clear or blocked. It doesn't really hurt, just makes you feel a little nausea. I think that's what they mean. Are they trying to figure out why you can't get pregnant?? Don't worry about it though, it's not that bad. Leslie

I had that test done also and it doesn't hurt at all. I was so nervous because everyone said it is very painful but it was no big deal....

We have to go through all of this b/c we are taking out a genetic disorder in my husbands genes. So, they want to do this test just to make sure I am in "full working order" before spending all of this money !
