Default Good news & bad news

The good news is I have had my removal at work approved for up to a year (

) if I want it...the company physician figured this would be easier if we have to move onto IVF. Now for the bad news, although fertility drugs are approved on my health plan at work, apparently Gonal F is not....

So, we're taking the hit on the first cycle, which I will be starting in roughly 20 or so days...I had to skip this current cycle because of work committments...but if we go beyond the first cycle, which we most likely will have to, i will have to see if there is a drug that is suitable that will be covered....

I am glad to hear things are working out for you at work. I remember back to how accomodating my boss was when we first started out treatments..but by the end (4+ years) it was "rough" and understandably they were tired of accomodating me constantly....hence I quit.

We also had limited coverage and I think only the first $2500 of treatments were covered at all and the rest was out of pocket...about $40,000 in 4 years....hoping they find you some med that is covered...ultimately you will manage no matter what...we always found a way!

I'm glad to hear your work situation is working out, but no coverage on the Gonal-F stinks.

YIKES! I remember how expensive that stuff was.

Your making me nervous with my first inj. cycle coming up, but I'm glad you got the approval for a year. That's great. The meds do suck, but maybe next time you can get another med.
