Default Homework Assignment

Okay gang....tonight is the first episode of the new series "Inconceivable". Your assignment is to watch it so we can discuss if Hollywood is portraying us realistically. If they mock us or gloss over IVF/infertility, be prepared to rip them apart and send NBC hate mail. Considering everyone in Hollywood has done IVF, hired a surrogate, used donor eggs (yeah right, Geena Davis had twins naturally with her own eggs at 46) etc., I think they should have all the facts already. The show is on at 10 pm eastern time (Leslie, is that like tomorrow for you?

)

I'm glad they are bringing the infertility situation to national attention. It effects so many men and women. We need our insurance companies to acknowledge that this "illness" needs coverage.

(By the way, no grades will be given

. Just something else to talk about here. Of course, I'm always up for a conversation on Survivor.)

I was wondering when there was going to be a reality ivf show. I'll see if I can get it. IF I can't I'll want a full report! Leslie

It's not a reality show. It's a new drama series. I think the production company that does Big Brother tried some type of infertility reality show in the UK. From what I remember, it was in poor taste.

What do you mean...see if you can get it? Don't you have NBC on the other side of the international dateline?

We do get NBC but we're never really sure what our local station will show. It's never what the paper says or the tv guide channel. It's pretty funny.
