I'm so sorry to hear it was so terribly painful. I don't understand why it would be that way when during the time of O your cervix should be open..

Sounds like maybe the doc needs the nurse to do it??

I hope you get a

out of this and don't have to worry about it again.

Are you sure you were ovulating? My IUI's have only been painful when I got them done too early in my cycle. However every RE is different.... some are definitely more careful...

From what he said he was having problems because my uterus is tilted back and my cervix it tilted a different way so it was making it hard to get it through. They try to put the catheter right up so that it is at the opening of the tube where the mature follie is. I'm supposed to go in for an u/s today to verify that I ovulated but I don't know if I can, I'm still really sore. I think I'm going to reschedule it for tomorrow. When I call the doctors office I'm going to ask the nurse if there was a chance I wasn't ovulating yet.

I'm sorry you experienced such pain. Hopefully, there is no next time but if there is, you may want to have b/w done. Your E2, LH and P4 levels will let your dr know if you are close to ovulation.

Good Luck!

I am sorry it was so painful. It does make me wonder - the only times I ever had difficulty is when my cd days were early. Hope you are feeling better.
