Default IUI Timing question -- HELP!!

OK, today is cd14 for me. I took 5 mg Femara this cycle, cd 3-7. I got a positive OPK kit today, and couldn't get an u/s and trigger, as all of the RE's were attending a seminar. So I decided to go ahead with the IUI tomorrow. What time do you think I should get a single IUI? What about a second? This is the first time I have felt ovulation cramping in ages (of course it could be the fertility drugs!!). My OPK showed the following today (Tuesday, September 28th):

tested 12:00 noon -- test line almost as dark as control line
tested 4:00 p.m. - test line AS dark as control line
tested 8:00 p.m. - test line darker than control line.

So I am SURGING....yeahhhhh!!!

According to my RE's scheudule tomorrow, he can do the insemination at 1:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. When do you think I should go tomorrow -- 1:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.? Do you think I should have the second insemination on Thursday at 8:00 a.m.? Or will that one be too late?

Thanks ladies!!

I'd go with 6pm which is about 24hours after surge and go for a second if you like the next morning if possible...

I'm a fan of 2 IUI's because that is what got me pg on try #3 (but it was ectopic). I say one IUI at 36 hours post surge or 2 IUI's - 1 @ 24 and 2 at 48. But in this case if you're just gonna do 1 IUI, I'd say go for the 6pm time slot, too.

for you Lisa!!!

I also say the 6 p.m. AND if you can have a second IUI, go the next day before noon.
