  • Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. I am 2 weeks into the long cycle and start my Lupron shots Friday morning. I am actually gettin nervous about all that is gonna take place in the next few weeks. How long do I stay on Lupron shots and how long before my retrieval? I am estimating the 3rd week in September, does that sound right? I hate to admit that my husband is right, but i am a hormonal mess! I hate to see what the Lupron brings on, i get the migraines as it is with the pill. Can anyone offer me nay advoce about what to expect in the next few weeks? And maybe a website for my husband to cope- hahahaha, he better get used to it is what i say. Hope Leslie and mIssy are doing well, and everyone else is thinking positive thoughts and trying to relax! Thanks for any help or advice you can give me

  • Well all I can say is DH had better get used to it because once you're pg you don't really turn nice until about four months. My DH has just had it with me & Dr. because we still can't have sex and won't be able to until after I deliver. The Lupron is a sinch but I got pretty bad headaches that went away once I started the estrogen. Lupron totally depletes your body of estrogen so when you get to start that you'll feel better. I think I did my Lupron for about two weeks. Aren't you excited to finally get started? It goes by SOOO fast from here out. You'll be all knocked up before you know it. Just tell DH not to be so annoying and you'll get on just great! Just kidding.

  • Diane, I didn't take Lupron-I took Gonal F and repsidol (sp?). I got head aches and was moody too; most of it started after day 5. It is an exciting but nerve rattling time. Now that I'm on the progesterone among other assorted meds, I feel bloated, moody and have a weird taste in my mouth all the time-this is so much fun!!! I'm actually looking forward to morning sickness after this!

  • Don't be looking forward to morning sickness..hope then when you get pg you will be one of the lucky ones that doesn't have it....TRUST ME! As far as the meds and moodiness...I totally felt like the pill was the worse. It made me the most emotional and feel the crappiest. You tell that dh that it is all for a good cause and to chill out
Leslie...atleast you have an excuse for not having sex...I just don't want it and that is going over really well
