Default My ivf update :)

Hello ladies,

My computer has been unplugged for a while as hubby is finishing the basement, so it's been a bit since I wrote.
DH and I had decided to try a medicated IUI cycle but instead it turned into another fresh IVF cycle. I had too many follicles to do an IUI because it is high risk for multiple pg and I can't carry twins.
So long story short I had my retrieval and my embryo transfer is Thursday!! I can't believe how fast this all went. We can only transfer one embryo. I also did IVIG to help with possible immune issues, which is suspected. We are also trying assisted hatching.

SO I hope this works. I have been having a hard time staying positive and I know that's majorly counter productive - so I am trying to stay positive. My mood swings and emotions have been running wild. Much worse than my last time on these meds in 2004. My poor DH, what he has to put up with. I guess it will all soon be over. But the good thing is the hot flashes have past for now and I have not cried in the last couple of days. I have been feeling pretty good the last few days. The retrieval went O.K I was pretty nauseus after

but that eventually passed. My Dr. couldn't reach my right ovary vaginally, it was too high up so he went through my abdomen with a big ass needle! Thank God I was out cold. I don't remember a thing. DH said I was talking to myself before I was put totally under. I was saying "go to your happy place Mary-Ellen" "find Zen be one with Zen" How funny is that!!!

We had a good chuckle over that one. So on that note, wish me well. I find out tomorrow how many eggs they retrieved and how many fertilized.
Thanks for listening everyone!

It sounds like you had a great cycle. I did AH. Do everything you can to get those little guys to stick and implant. Some of my friends think AH made the differenc for them.

Can't wait to hear the fertilization report
