Default Onto IUI #3...

Well, #2 didn't work. I'll call on Monday and see if we should change something up this next cycle - unfortunately it will likely be a Memorial Day weekend IUI - oh boy. I was on Progesterone 50 mg and still only had a 10.5 day LP. Does that mean I need a higher dosage?

I'm so sorry smk.

I hope that your RE has some answers for you.

I was on 200 mg of prometrium vaginally twice a day. I'm not sure how your 50 mg corresponds with that? Good luck with ther next cycle!

Sorry the cycle didn't work. I feel 50 mg of progesterone is a low dosage and should be upped. Did you have your P4 level tested?

I say before you do ANYTHING else you need an HSG to make sure your tubes are open. I can still hear my RE telling me that there is no reason to begin IUI's using donor sperm (especially because we we're paying $400/vial and about $1200 for the cycle at the clinic!) only to find out that it will never reach the egg(s). Of course you know my story.....1 blocked tube and 14 cancelled cycles out of 19 because of the blockage until we started injectibles (only then would I get a few follies on the unblocked side to work with every month).

I'm not sure about the P4 on an IUI. My first guess is that a stronger dosage would give you a longer LP.

With my current FET cycle (had the transfer on Fri) I'm doing 1cc of injectible PIO once a day (they actually started me at 1/2 cc and then it went up to 2 cc's before leveling off and staying at 1cc for the remainder of the cycle) and 100 mg suppository every day, as well. It's just routine, not because of a short LP, but I wouldn't get AF if my life depended on it with this dosage! LOL! I hope your doc can help you out on this (any chance of biting the bullet and seeing an RE?).

I'm sorry #2 was a bust. Onto #3 and hoping for a BFP!
