Default OPK Question

If you test after getting a positive OPK, should the test line still be there, or does it disappear as soon as you ovulate?

It disappears pretty quickly and I would think certainly after you O it would be gone, yes.

I'm not sure I know what you're asking . . . do you mean if you take a test AFTER you've ovulated, will the line show up? The tests measure LH, so it will show the darkest line at surge, right before O. I don't know what one would look like after O. You always have some LH in your system, so I think a line would still show up, but it wouldn't meet the criteria for being a positive test, KWIM?

Ladies?

i have been using opk's for 2 cycles and the first i wasn't sure if i had got a + so i kept taking them. before i Oed i had a faint line and it got darker and darker and darker then it started geting lighter and lighter and lighter until it was gone i took 10 or 12 tests that month. does that help to answer what you are trying to figure out if not post again and i will see if i can be of any more help.

The LH will increase till you surge and than decrease. My test line faded fairly quickly after the surge so I think by the time I o'd it was pretty much gone.
