I cringed reading your post. My dentist wants to take out my 2 top ones. At 40 I know that I heal so slowly and I keep dragging my feet....

I hate dental things. I'm happy that I can force myself to go every 6 months for my cleaning. I hate that place! You're so brave!! I hope you heal quickly and smoothly!

Actually, from what I've read, the top are easier on you than the bottom...less chance of complications. Yes, at 37 I am a bit old for this procedure. I am already starting to feel better. Yesterday the pain meds seemed to just barely touch the pain and today it's just a dull ache. Much more bearable. I might take tomorrow off as well. It's fun to veg out at home...playing on the computer, watching daytime TV and napping!

Thanks to all for your kind words!

Ooooffff...you poor thing!! I had mine out when I was about 16 and all I remember is

all over my poor father after taking penicillan (I have no clue why I was taking that after having my wisdom teeth out). I literally hurled all over him when he came into my room to check on me. I only did novacaine (not general anasthesia) and I just remember it sounding like they were breaking wood (like tree branches!!) when they were coming out. I don't recall any pain, but that sound is still in my head like it was yesterday!!!

I'm glad you were a brave girl and are feeling better!!!!!
