Unhappy Pretty sure BFN...taking a month off

Well today is cd27. I have known for a while that this cycle was a bust...in my heart anyway. Needless to say I am crushed. This was my 4th cycle ttc a sibling for DS. I got pg w/ him on my fourth DIUI and w/ my angel on the first. So it's now taking longer...and I'm wondering if it will ever happen. I just don't get it.

On paper all 4 of my cycles were perfect. We mixed it up a little...did a 2 w/ hCG and 2 where I o'ed on my own. We did 2 w/ 2 IUIs and 2 singles. My hormone levels were great. My lining was thick--over 10. I had 2-4 20+mm follies. I have not been stressed or obsessive at all. Why is my body failing me? I am almost 50 pounds lighter than when I got pg both times. I eat healthy food (tons of veggies, whole grains, etc) and almost nothing processed. And we've now spent $8K in 4 months (not including sperm). And I only have 6 precious vials left.

So anyway I am going to take this month off...give my body a break. 4 months on Clomid is a bit much. I am going to try to shed another 10 pounds so I am at my goal weight.

I had an HSG done 3 years ago when ttc DS. It was free and clear. Do you think that w/ my procedure for angel that something could have clogged my tubes? Do you think I should get another HSG???

I am getting new insurance in a few weeks and I am pretty sure they have fertility coverage. So I'll take a month off and let my body and mind take a break.

Oh...the reason I think this cycle is a bust is cuz I have been a 27 day cycle for the last 6 months. I usually spot the night of cd27. I have been feeling crampy and noticed some spotting a bit ago. So I POAS and it was a BFN. Then I opened some wine and started pouting.

Sorry for the long vent. Any words of wisdom are appreciated. I'm not crying poor me. Well okay maybe. But I do have DS and a great DH and am thankful. Eskie, I need some of your positive attitude. Maybe I"ll find that tomorrow.

Julie so sorry it is another

they are so hard to take

. I would recommend having another HSG, if nothing else it will give you peace of mind. Kick back and enjoy your wine.

At this point in time with your history, I do believe that an HSG might be worthwhile. You obviously didn't have any problem getting pg before. Maybe this would "roto-rooter" your tubes and help regardless.

I'm just really sorry for the bfn...

I hated those - every single one was so disappointing. Thinking of you..

I'm so sorry...

BFN are so hard, even when you know it's coming, seeing just one line appear is crushing. It's hard to keep a positive attitude- especially when you are spending so much money. I was just thinking the other day...I can't wait to get pregnant so we can stop spending all that money- and we are only spend around a thousand a month- and that's including sperm!

What a relief to have the insurance coverage coming. I agree an HSG is in your future! I have heard the roto-rooter analogy before! Enjoy your break as much as you can and try to be easy on yourself. It will happen!!!!!

I'm sorry that you're facing a BFN. I'll second the HSG. My IVF clinic makes you repeat the procedure if it has been more than 3 years. Anything can clog up your pipes or there can be nothing at all but the HSG has worked miracles for some in the months after.

I hope the extra 10 lbs falls right off
