Default Question

I'm still feeling a little crampy today after my IUI yesterday, is that normal? I'm guessing it's because of all the poking and prodding and the clamps he had to use. It's nothing major just kind of uncomfortable.
Also I have been thinking about what everyone was saying about buying things for when they get pregnant. About a week ago I saw these cute Winnie the Pooh book ends at a store and I have not been able to stop thinking about them. Should I give in and go buy them or hold out? I am so afraid of jinxing myself by buying baby stuff that I haven't bought a thing. Also I think DH will think I'm nuts if I do but I want them so bad!!

I was crampy for a couple of days after my first IUI. What you're feeling is probably due to the clamp. It will pass.

I don't know what to tell you about the Winnie the Pooh bookends. You have to do what feels comfortable for you. In my religion, bringing home things in advance of the baby arriving is a no-no. We don't have baby showers. And when we buy a crib, it is not delivered until you are in the hospital delivering.

The cramping is pretty normal following an IUI. Especially if they had to use a clamp on you. I wouldn't worry about it!!!

As far as buying baby things before you are pg, I bought tons of things and am glad I did. When you finally are pg and expecting your baby, you will regret not buying something you thought was extra cute. Baby decorations change so fast that it is hard to find something you found a month earlier. If I were you, I'd buy it if you REALLY like it.

Good Luck!!!!!

I don't buy any baby stuff until I am pg and am at least over my 20 week sono. When we first started ttc ds, I bought some collegiate stuff so that when we got pg I could use that as a way to surprise DH. Well it took 18 months. After about 6 months I had to hide the clothes so I dind' thave to look at them. It was way too depressing.

Then w/ my angel, I didn't buy any maternity or baby stuff at all. Thankfull I'm tall and don't show early. So glad because after we lost him at 20 weeks I would have had even more of a hard time looking at all the maternity and baby stuff that I never got to use.

Everyone is different. But for me I'm nervous nelly and wait. But if it will be your good luck charm and you can't stop thinking about them then go for it. You know how you are and how you handle things.

I didn't have the dreaded clamp and I felt crampy after my IUI...so I bet it's related to that.

As far as buying baby things...you have to do what feels right at the time. I just bought my first baby thing after all these years. I don't regret not buying anything sooner I just accept that is where I was at the time. I am planning to start knitting a baby blanket next!
