I had several cycles where I was on 10 amps a day and only produced 3 eggs. There are studies that show that increasing the meds does more harm than good to already fragile follicles/eggs. My clinic does natural cycles in addition to full blown medicated cycles. They deal with alot of older women, women with high fsh, diminished ovarian reserve etc. They don't care about their stats or they would have turned most of us away. One of my IVF clinic buddies had a fsh in the 30s. She couldn't even get her period without meds. She was given the donor egg speech from several clinics. Cooper Center took her on. Her first cycle was a bust. She has a son from her second natural cycle. A natural cycle can be with no meds whatsoever or a small boost prior to ovulation. Basically you are recruiting 1 follicle. My friend developed 1 follicle which was an 8 celled embryo for transfer.

The site is

You can check it out. They also have studies posted on the site. In addition, the cost of IVF at Cooper is reasonable compared to other clinics that they have alot of west coast people flying in.

Good Luck.

I never produced many eggs on either of my 2 cycles and I was on repronex and follistim (together). Have they done ICSI with you? My 1st cycle I had 1 good fertilized egg and 2 others fertilized, but barely (3 celled). My 2nd cycle they did ICSI and we had 3 good fertilized eggs (8 celled). As far as donor eggs....I would 1st get a second opinion just to make sure (especially since donor eggs are very pricey)...if both docs agree, I say go for it. You will still be carrying it and it will still be your baby and you will love it just as much as if it were your eggs. By the way, welcome aboard

Missyp.s. My 2nd cycle worked

Wow - every time I learn more about people's stories I am more amazed at the strength you all have! Winefancy, I can't offer any help as I'm fairly new to the process but I'll bet you get lots of helpful advice from the ladies on this board. Good luck!
