    Thanks for the information about Femara...hoping we BOTH graduate to the due in September board and we never have to take fertility drugs AGAIN!

  • I asked my RE about Femara. She said that if you get the insurance to cover this drug, your file can get "tagged" as a breast cancer patient, and you could have trouble getting health insurance in the future. I have two friends who have breast cancer and have been treated, and they have talked about insurance woes (which I think should be illegal).

    She also said that it basically treats like clomid, and clomid is really not that expensive. I paid about $50-$60 for a round of clomid (100 mg) and I fortunately never had any side effects or linign problems - it just didn't stimulate my ovaries to make more than one egg. Good luck with it though!
