Cool TIMING FOR IUI -- NEED HELP!!

Ok girls, listen. I don't know why my doctor insists on doing the IUI 42 hrs post trigger, She tells me that she is waiting for the egg to make it down the tubes a little more before doing the IUI. In the past I have switched the timing on her, I tried at 24 hrs and 36 hrs and finally her 42 hrs.
Nothing has worked, but of course this baby making process takes time. I have been through all of the tests and past all of them with flying colors. I am healthy. But the question is why can't I get pregnant. Now I know there is alot of women here that have also been through what I am experiencing, some worse and have gotten pregnant. Now, I am going to take the advice of you all.

What do you think I should do about the timing? I start to get O pains at 24hrs and it will last the whole day. Throughout all of my inseminations I have gotten these pains and it did'nt matter how many hours after the trigger, I still did'nt get pregnant.

On 4 of my inseminations I was hyper. I stopped casual drinking. I ate the right foods- on purpose. Thinking this would strenghen my body. However, this just added to the stress, I just thought about getting pregnant even more. Then on the last 4 IUI's I presumed life as normal. Of course I still take my prenatal vitamins but I do drink a couple glasses of wine on the weekends, and I do not put any limitations on anything.
I was fully relaxed. Still nothing.

So now I don't know what to do. I am on my last day of taking the clomid, and as usual my follicles are huge and I am feeling them. I respond very well with the clomid, but no ++++ so far.

I even turned to superstitions with this process. We just moved into a new 2 bedroom apartment, and finally we have alot of space for a baby--Thinking god will permit this now. So I started up with the IUI process after a long year break. But nothing again.

I seriously need help with this. And I am sorry this is so lenghly but ---Someone please tell me what am I doing wrong. I need to know what is the perfect timing. It seems I start O pains in 24hrs post trigger but I want all of your input on this.

Thank you all once again for the help.

Nicole

Do the IUI at 34 hours past the hcg trigger. The sperm should be in place at ovulation or prior to ovulation. It is harder to play catch up with the egg. You are using Grade A frozen sperm. You are not dealing with motility issues. There is no reason for you to wait until the egg gets further down the tube. Your chances of getting pg decreases after ovulation.

Good Luck Nicole.

I would go with 24hours after surge...."normal" unmedicated natural cycles only have 1:4 chance of conceiving as well..hang in there!

I would definitely have an IUI at the 24 hours post surge detection point, going on your feeling pains around that time. You are probably O'ing around 30 hours post surge (or HCG trigger) and to have the sperm in there as the egg releases and is sucked into the tube is probably the best choice.

GOOD LUCK!!!
