Default trigger shot done, IUI to go ??

I actually managed to give myself the trigger shot this a.m. Not easy, but I did it.

First, there was the whole needle fear thing, then I ended up squirting out some of the meds (more than a drop that's for sure) when I was trying to get the air out. But what realy made it awful was an amazingly violent case of hiccoughs. You know the kind that are actually painful and shake your entire body.

Ever tried to give yourself an injection between hiccoughs
? NOT GOOD! I finally gave up and waited for them to pass. Oh, and somehow I didn't manage to get all the meds out the first time and had to stick myself again.
I liked this shot thing better when I wasn't the one giving them.

My heart really goes out to all of you ladies on injectables. Your brave women the lot of you.

Now that's done, I'm obssessing over our donor units. We had them shipped from our previous clinic to our current one a couple of months back. But we've not had a chance to confirm the donor ID # since their arrival. I asked the nurse about it yesterday, and she assured me she'd check on it and call back this a.m. Of course she didn't, and I never got around to calling her. I can't decide if I should call in the a.m., or just wait until I get there for the appt.

Oh, got a question: Does anyone know if having a cold lowers your chances? I'm pretty sure I have a cold. Been feeling cruddy for 3 days, sneezing, scratchy throat a little hoarse, low fever here and there, etc. Do you think I still have a reasonable chance? Should I take some Tylenol?

I don't think the cold will effect anything adversely and Tylenol is perfectly fine. I would avoid Ibuprofen though.

Sounds like you're pretty brave doing that shot on yourself! How cool that you did it and now just the IUI is left! GOOD LUCK to you!!
