Oh Monique I cant believe this has happened
It makes so
that these doctors think we have thousands of dollars to just throw away when a cycle has to be cancelled. Do they even care about the emotional side effects of a cancelled cycle.

You have been thru soooooooooo much, I wish there was something I could do to help or even make you feel better, but I will have to settle for sending you a

Let us know what you decide to do.....

Babydoll, I'm so sorry to hear that your Re cancelled your cycle. There has to be some way that you can still do it. Would something called coasting help? Well I'm afraid that I don't know enough to help, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and hoping that he rethinks his decision. I think that he needs to try to aspirate again after he gives you some pain medicine that makes the procedure more relaxing. Would that be an option? Let us know what happens. You definately deserved better.

Oh Babydoll no! That's just terrible. I have never heard of an RE aspirating the leading follies before, I certainly dont think this it is done in Australia, not that i have ever heard about. Are you still downregulating? If you are downregulating like Glinda said they just let the leading follies go and aim for the middle of the range follies.

You know the same thing happened to me last week, i had 2 leading follies of 20 and 22mm!!!! The nearest was 17, but they were mostly around 14 and 15 and 13. My levels indicated i had already ovulated when i went for surgery (my P4 was already 28) but luckily when i had egg pickup they still got 8 eggs. Are you in sort of situation you can get a 2nd opinion?

You know your Dr can advise you but ultimately it is your decision. Do you get a rebate if this doesnt go ahead? The fact is Babydoll most women get leading follies, so it has to be managed otherwise no one cycle would go ahead!
Hope you can sort something out, let us know ok!

My plan: I'm going to keep taking the meds until Tuesday, when hopefully I can get a u/s and an E2 done somewhere (NOT at my RE's). If on Tuesday, there is progress on the left side, I'll continue the cycle and go for an IUI with my OBG. If there's no progress by Tuesday (4 extra days on meds), I'll give it up. I'm not willing to throw in the towel on this one yet.
