Default Unmedicated / Unmonitored IUI's

Have any of you ladied been successful with unmedicated, unmonitored DIUI's? Are the success rates much less? I am having a hard time getting time off work for the ultrasounds. It has been very stressful. I am thinking about taking a few months away from the monitoring, and just doing the DIUI's based on a positive OPK. What do you ladies think? I have a slightly elevated FSH at 9.1.

Success rates before regular intercourse and IUI's at all is only slightly different - increasing from 20% to maybe 25% each cycle! Monitoring simply increases your chances since you may be better able to pinpoint your timing. If OPK's work well for you - then go for it!

I was successful with my 2nd unmedicated and unmonitered single IUI. My son is now 3 years old. With my second I did 3 unmedicated and then one with Clomid (all 4 unmonitered) to get my daughter.

So, they can work.

Although I ended up miscarrying, I got pg with unmedicated and unmonitored IUIs. Unmedicated and unmonitored is the way that most of us started out when embarking on this path.

Good Luck.

As long as OPK's work for you, I say go for it. The reduced stress will probably be a relief! Good Luck!
