This is the easy part, Diane. The transfer is done with a catheter. The embryos are placed in the catheter with some fluid. The dr then inserts the catheter past your cervix and the embryos are placed at the top of your uterus. They will know where to put them because they will use an abdominal u/s. Your bladder will be full so they will get the exact positions. Then you will lie there for about 30 minutes. When they tell you to get up, run to the bathroom if you haven't already peed in the bed pan. I could never do this. I just can't pee lying down. Of course, I've known some women to pee on the dr

. And no, the embryos won't fall out of you when you pee.

At the clinic I went to, I didn't have to lie there for 30 minutes (actually they didn't let me). As soon as the procedure is done, they get you up, send you to the bathroom, and then send you home. I asked the dr. about lieing there and he said to get up right away or lie there, is no difference because the embies aren't going to fall out. 2 out of 3 worked with me

My Dr. had me lay there about 15 minutes. The transfer is the easiest thing ever. Well, I don't know about the other things but it wasn't even as bad as an exam. I was scared they'd fall out if I walked with my legs too far apart. But then, I'm a big dork. Good luck tomorrow! Woohoo!! Leslie
