Hi everybody!! DP and I are embarking on fresh
IVF #2 this week. We started stims yesterday and they have me set for a tentative retrieval of 9/28 with a transfer on 10/1 or 10/3. I was wondering
if you guys could give me your opinions of 3 day transfers vs. blast transfer. The last fresh cycle we transferred 2 blasts and it was a
BFP (singleton), but they had trouble locating the sac starting around week 5 and I had to have a shot of methotrexate to terminate the
pg at 7w1d because the sac had totally disappeared (they feared an ectopic).

I have a friend who also got
pg with a blast transfer (but sadly m/c'd), but this time she has decided (and the embryologist agreed) to let her do a 3 day transfer because it seems the quality of her embies aren't the best. I guess the safest place for them to be is in the uterus. So, that got me thinking.....what
if a 3 day truly is better than a 5 day? My embies were grades 1 and 2 for the fresh cycle (the best) and 2 and 3 for the
FET (so-so). It doesn't appear that I have any quality problems, but I just wondering
if we should just get them back in there ASAP or
if we should let them go to blast again. Any opinions out there?
p.s.
On my first fresh cycle they retrieved 14 eggies and all of them fertilized, but 3 of them were 3PN's. By the end we were left with 4 good ones (2 went back and 2 were frozen for the
FET).
