Baby Essentials

Ladies, let's post a list of essentials to have on hand when you welcome home your bundle of joy.

Must Haves

Car Seat (contact local fire department for proper installation)
Wipes
Diapers
T-shirts (until the cord falls off--then onesies)
Hats and socks
Burp Cloths
Vaseline (especially if Baby is a boy and had a circ)
Alcohol swabs or cotton balls
Baby nail file (no clippers for the first few weeks)
Baby Bath
Baby wash/clothes/towels
Sterilized bottles/nipples if bottle feeding
Breast pads, breast pump if breastfeeding
Lansinoh or equivalent if breastfeeding
Boppy Pillow
Bassinet or Pack 'N Play for sleeping during the first weeks/months
Thermometer
Swaddling blankets or manufactured wraps
Antibacterial handwash (for visitors)
Pediatrician phone number on hand
Some frozen meals for quick EASY dinners

Nice to Haves

Infant swing
Changing table
Crib (most babies don't use the crib for at least a few weeks)
Stroller (Baby probably won't be "strolling" for a few weeks)
Bouncer Seat
