So they ended up offering the h1n1 vax to staff at school, so I decided to go ahead and get it.
How about I read the whole info page about it, and on the section where it says "who should get the h1n1...?" Pregnant women is number one on the list.
I get in line to get my shot and the lady says loudly 'ARE YOU PREGNANT?" I say I am and she demands a prescription (which I had), and says "now do you know there are trace amounts of mercury in this vaccine???" Of course I didnt, and she says "well, so far the obs have been ok with it but I wanted you to know."
I tried to call my obs office just to make sure but of course it was Wednesday afternoon so they were closed. The health dept was the one giving the clinic and was where she told me to go, so I figured it was ok.
I finally get past her, and there are all these nurses givng the shots and one says LOUDLY when I come in the clinic "ARE WE DOING PREGNANT WOMEN?" They didn't want to give me the shot again! So i showed my prescription again and they finally gave it to me.
So of course I've been freaking out wondering
if i even did the right thing.
