Default Baby Monitors

We bought a new baby monitor when DD was born a few years ago and loved it. It's made by Safety 1st and worked great but this past weekend one of the parent receiver stopped linking to the base so we only have the receiver left and we leave that one u/s in our bedroom.

We have tried everything but can't seem to get the receiver to work so I guess I'm on the hunt for a new monitor before the new baby arrives.

Does anyone have a favorite that they really like and would recommend? I suspect we may go with Safety 1st again but honestly have been in the market for a few years so things might have changed.

Thanks !!

Is it a regular monitor or a video monitor? We have a video monitor by Summer I believe. I think our regular monitor is a safety 1st. I sold it at our garage sale last year--- otherwise I'd send it to you.

Oh it's just a regular monitor. I loved ours because it came with two receivers so we could put one in our bedroom and one downstairs.

I looked at the video monitor when we were expecting our first but now that we are number 3 I don't worry near as much. I'm sure you will know what I mean.

I did a little research this afternoon and the new Safety 1st had a pretty good review.

Actually... at one time we had 2 video monitors. Dh rigged it up now so that I have one screen, and channel "a" is one of the kids, andchannel "b" is the other kid. Josh is 4 years old and I still flip over and look at him at night.

I guess the camera will have to be moved up so I can see both kids when they move in together.

We got the Angel Care monitor that is just an audio monitor and it has the pad that goes under the bed that will make an alarm sound if the baby stops breathing. We haven't used it yet, but my niece had the same one and it gave us all great peace of mind (we got the version that has two receivers and it even tells us what temperature it is in the baby's room).
