  • holly! i'm so sorry to hear about this! i know this is going to sound weird but did you have sex or anything in the vagina within 24 hours of the ffn? sometimes that will cause a false positive. i feel sure the terbutaline will help with the pre-term labor, just stay off your feet and KEEP YOUR BLADDER EMPTY!!! that causes contractions as well... stay strong for little lola!

  • Brandi - the doctors asked me the same thing...

    no, we haven't had sex or anything for about a week now. and of course, the doctor said no sex until further notice...

    would it be sperm that would cause a false positive? i know it sounds weird to ask that, but because of my preterm labor with Michael, i have always insisted that DH not ejaculate inside of me...i know, gross, but i remember my previous high risk OB said that sperm will cause contractions or it will thin the cervix, something like that...so anyway, even when we last had sex, there was no sperm left inside of me. (im sure you ALL wanted to know that!!

    )

    so, what else do you know about this ffn test?

    and to all of you, thank you once again for your kind thoughts and prayers. it was a rough night last night not just physically (this terbutaline really makes me jittery) but just upset that i will not be able to enjoy my pregnancy..instead i will just be wishing away the time to get to the "okay" mark.

  • That really does suck Holly. Well, we'll just have to think of things to do for you to pass the time..............and you'll just have to put DH to work getting ready for baby, as well as starting learning to freely accept casseroles............lol, why do people always send casseroles??? Why not roast beef and yorkshire puddings or something.............anyhow, hope you're doing better today........
